Self Rating Descriptions

UPPER DIVISION
A team which consistently finishes at or near the top of a Middle Division; it’s players usually play on multiple teams; any team looking for the best competition on that day of play and typically has some very skilled players that play weekend tournaments.

MIDDLE DIVISION
A team which consistently finishes at or near the top of a Lower Division; the team is competitive, but not of Upper Division skill level; can be a new team with skilled players that have not previously played together.

LOWER DIVISION
A team which does not win half its games in a Middle Division; the team is competitive, but not of Middle Division skill level; a new team with players that have some previous experience who know most of the rules and will improve over time.

RECREATIONAL
A brand new team; most players have never played before, are buying gear for the first time and are not familiar with many slow pitch softball rules; a work or company team with little or no experience and is not very competitive.
